Welcome to My Placement Mentor, operated by the Career Development Centre (CDC) of Marwadi University. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our placement and mock-interview management platform.

By accessing or using this platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the platform.

We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Account Information: Name, email address, profile photo (via Google OAuth).
• Academic Information: Branch, semester, CGPA, enrollment number, division, backlog status.
• Career Information: Internship details, placement preferences, SIG workshop attendance, mock interview feedback.
• Uploaded Documents: Resume (PDF), professional photograph, payment receipts, syllabuses.
• Interview Data: Scheduled slots, meeting links, evaluation scores, and interview results.
• Usage Data: Page visits, interactions, and session information collected via Google Analytics.

We use the collected information to:

• Facilitate interview scheduling, slot booking, and notifications.
• Enable administrators to manage, shortlist, and evaluate students.
• Send automated email notifications regarding interview assignments, reminders, and results.
• Display your profile, resume, and documents to authorised interviewers and CDC administrators.
• Generate anonymised analytics to improve the platform and placement outcomes.
• Comply with university administrative and audit requirements.

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL database and object storage), hosted on servers with industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

File uploads (resumes, photos, documents) are stored in private storage buckets. Access is controlled via server-side signed URLs that expire after a short duration — files are never directly accessible via public URLs.

We implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): students can access only their own data; interviewers can access only assigned student profiles; administrators have supervised full access.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Information may be shared in the following limited circumstances:

• Interviewers: Assigned interviewers can view your profile, resume, and evaluation data for the purpose of conducting mock interviews.
• CDC Administrators: Platform administrators at Marwadi University's Career Development Centre.
• Service Providers: Supabase (storage & database), Google (OAuth authentication, Analytics, Gmail SMTP) — each governed by their own privacy policies.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or a valid university disciplinary process.

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymised usage data such as page views, session duration, and general geographic region. This data does not identify you personally and is used solely to improve platform performance.

Authentication sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies managed by Supabase. These are strictly necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled.

Your data is retained for the duration of your enrolment at Marwadi University and for a period of up to 2 years after graduation for audit and reference purposes. Uploaded files may be deleted upon your written request to the CDC, subject to university retention policies.

As a user of this platform, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you (viewable via your profile dashboard).
• Correct inaccurate information by editing your profile.
• Request Deletion of your account and associated data by contacting the CDC.
• Data Portability — request an export of your personal data.

This platform is intended exclusively for students and faculty of Marwadi University who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
